The GCP-Driver is an upper layer driver for using CAN interface cards within several applications. The GCP-Driver supports multiple application interfaces in one driver. This make the usage very flexible and easy to handle.
ODVA's DeviceNet Conformance Test Software:
The GCP-Driver provides a DeviceNet Conformance Test Software (ODVA) compatible interface for Vector's CAN Hardware. The driver is designed for the 32 bit version of the Conformance Test software. The driver will not run with Conformance Test versions before version 18.
COTI: CiA's CANopen Conformance Test Software:
The CAN in Automation users and manufacturers group specified an interface for the CANopen conformance test. Vector supports this with it's CAN interface cards by use of the GCP-Driver.
Vector's ProCANopen configuration software:
The configuration software ProCANopen has an open interface for using several CAN interface cards from Vector as well as from some other manufacturers. This open interface is implemented as one of the application interfaces.
Supported Hardware:
The current GCP-Driver is available for CANcardXL, CANcaseXL, CANboardXL, CANcardX, CANcardY and CAN-AC2-PCI. Please refer to Network Interfaces to learn more about the hardware.
