Among other things, CANopen devices require a setting of baud rate and node number. Devices without access possibilities via switches (e.g. watertight sensors) require a setting of these values via the CAN bus itself. CANopen specifies the LSS (CiA 305) for this. The necessary services are provided in the form of source code modules by the LSS Slave and LSS Master add-on modules.
